Timeline Events

Creating an Event

Normal Creation

  • Hover on the line of the event
  • Click on to create an event beneath it

Creating the top event

  • Scroll to the top of you timeline
  • Hover your cursor at the top of the current top event
  • This will show a prompt to add an event
  • Click to create the event on top

Moving an Event

Drag and drop the event to the desired position.

Move Mode

As the timeline grows larger, it becomes cumbersome to move events around.

Move Mode provides a panel to temporarily hold your events, and give you the freedom to scroll through the timeline.

Enable Move Mode

  • Click on Normal to expand the dropdown menu
  • Click on Move Mode to enable Move Mode

This will show a panel on the left side to temporarily hold your events.

Using Move Mode Panel

  • Drag and drop events to the move mode panel
  • Scroll through the timeline to the desired position
  • Drag and drop the events from the move mode panel to the timeline

Disable Move Mode

Events held in the Move Mode panel will return to their original position after Move Mode is disabled.

  • In the Timeline Options Menu at the top, expand the modes dropdown menu.
  • Click on Normal to disable Move Mode

Sharing an event with a Document

  • Click on the Event Pointer
  • Click on Place in Document...
  • This will open the Event Placement Menu
  • On the left side, click on the desired document to move the event to
  • Drag and drop your event to the desired position in the document
  • Click on Apply to confirm

Viewing a shared event in the Binder

The event has to be shared with a binder for this option to be available.

  • Click on the event pointer
  • Click on View in Timeline

Detach an Event

  • Click on the event pointer
  • Click on Detach

Move event to Trash

  • Click on the event pointer
  • Click on Move to Trash
