Segments are movable pieces inside your writing. They let you reorganize story beats, attach details, and share selected writing with the timeline.
Use the add control beside an existing segment to create a new segment below it. The new segment stays in the same document.
Drag a segment to reorder it in the document, or use the segment menu's Move action to move it with the placement menu.
Select Event Cards in the Documents toolbar to show or hide segment detail cards beside the writing. This is useful when you want to scan attributes and timeline details without opening each segment.
Use Detach to remove a segment from the document while keeping it available elsewhere. Use Move to Trash when the segment is no longer needed.
