Word Count

Word Count helps you check how much writing is in the current document or document scope.

Show word count

1. Open the Documents view.
2. Select the Word Count control in the Documents toolbar.

The word count popup shows the current count and lets you switch scope when wider document counts are available.

Hide word count

Select the same Word Count control again to hide the popup.

Use word count while drafting

Use word count to track chapter length, scene length, draft goals, or the total size of a document group.
